Our Services

Heartspace Therapy is excited to create a loving space to work in a multitude of ways.

  • A brave space where you can thrive and reach your full potential. We look forward to joining you on your journey of self-exploration.

  • When our relationships don’t work, we suffer. We’ll guide you through healthy communication techniques so we can address the core challenges that make you feel stuck in a painful dynamic.

  • When family conflicts or challenges emerge, we help the family members to find solutions and make sure everyone feels heard and included.

We want more than affirming therapy for you, we want to celebrate YOU! Our team has extensive experience caring for diverse populations, including:

  • BIPOC mental health matters! We don’t shy away from courageous conversations about race and racism, especially in therapy. Here, you hold the power and control as we work together to promote your resilience, strength, and well-being.

  • Whether it’s breaking free from internalized oppression, coming out, or actualizing your authentic sense of self, we are SO here for that!

  • Gender identity and expression can be painful to navigate, and can also be fun and playful to explore. We want less pain and more fun for your gender journey.

  • Following Health At Every Size® guidelines, we celebrate body and size diversity to further promote your self-love.

  • Sex work is work! We’re sex-positive and passionate sex work advocates. We’re excited to co-create an empowering space to explore this part of your life and identity.

  • Salt-N-Pepa said it best: “let’s talk about sex!” We celebrate all forms of sex and expressions of sexuality. Every sexual fantasy and practice is welcomed.

  • Immigration typically means loss of what’s known and familiar to us, along with navigating a new environment and unfamiliar cultural norms. Whether you’re a first-, second-, or third-generation immigrant, we know it gets really tough sometimes and we want to be your best supporters so you can feel at home.

  • The more the merrier, but what happens when that’s not necessarily the case? Whether you’re considering or already in a poly/open relationship, we can help with working through challenging dynamics, setting clear boundaries, and forming secure bonds.

  • Being young is often exciting and challenging at the same time. We’re thrilled to guide you as you’re figuring out your best self so you can adapt to the many changes in young adulthood and realize your magical potential.

  • For those that are neurodivergent, it can often feel like you are navigating a world without the social rulebook that others’ follow. We specialize in working with high-functioning ASD, so you can write the rulebook that works for you.

  • Chubs, cubs, otters, wolfs, and all members of queer wildlife are welcome here. We can be of great help when things get hairy (see what we did here?!).

  • Those attracted to fatness and becoming fat sometimes struggle with deep shame about their attractions. We want to be your guide so that your sexual experiences would be shame-free and super delicious!

  • Being attracted to minors is intensely painful because of the hatred one faces. We stand strongly against such treatment and are passionate advocates for all minor-attracted people. We offer affirming therapy where your sexual orientation will be depathologized and celebrated so you can heal from shame and boost your resilience and well-being.

People seek therapy for different reasons. At Heartspace Therapy, we offer expert care for people with a variety of concerns and challenges.

  • Trauma often manages us in unconscious ways. We’ll help you develop skills and strategies to better understand and cope with its impact and process emotions and memories related to traumatic events so you would be in control.

  • Living with complex trauma often makes us feel like no one understands us and that we’re broken and unlovable. We’ll explore what happened to you and will never suggest that there’s something wrong with you. Instead, we’ll develop helpful, evidence-based strategies to recover and heal from your childhood trauma.

  • I’m not enough; I’m not worthy; I’m a failure. Sounds familiar? We will recognize whose voices live in you that make you feel that way so you can be reminded of your unique voice and self-worth (hint: these aren’t your own voices).

  • Your full humanity is comprised of your multiple identities (#intersectionality), and some identities are masked by shame. We’re curious about all your identities and wish to help you manage any identity-related challenges you face so you can celebrate your full self.

  • You only have one body (we know, you’re shocked!), yet so many of us struggle with objectifying and hating our body or parts of it. We strive to facilitate your moving from hating to loving and celebrating your body (#self-love).

  • When your relationship with eating goes awry, we’re here to uncover the unmet needs that may cause these challenges and identify helpful ways to fully recover, so you can enjoy eating and reconnect with your body in a compassionate way.

  • Tension with people in our life often leaves us feeling lonely and isolated. In session, we’ll explore ways to overcome such challenges by asserting your needs and boundaries because connection=healing.

  • You might feel fearful, worried, restless, or stressed out more often than not. That makes sense– we live in very uncertain times. We’ll uncover ways to cope with anxiety so you can lead your life with a clear and anxiety-free mind.

  • Depression may manifest itself in different direct and indirect ways–all of which can be soul-crushing. Together, we’ll identify the causes of your depression and ways to better manage it so you can infuse your life with more vitality.

  • Work is an obligation that even at the best times can be stressful. Given that we spend much time working, learning how to cope with work stressors, coworkers, and burnout is vital to our well-being.

  • Living with a chronic condition sometimes feels like choices have been taken away from us. In our work, we’ll discover what great options are available for you now so you can be in charge of your condition and live your best life!

  • Self-care might sound selfish, but only when we take care of ourselves, we can be our best selves. Self-care is not just a buzzword, it’s a state of being. We’ll identify ways to make your self-care agenda front and center so you always nurture yourself, and by extension, take care of the people in your life too.

And through it all, we'll be here with you.
