  • I am a cis, able-bodied, mentally able, ace/aro, Middle-Eastern, Muslim woman and lived in New Jersey before moving to New York for graduate school before the pandemic. I love all things Y2K and have a Juicy Couture tracksuit in every color. In my free time, I love to go on runs and lollygag around my neighborhood with an iced coffee or bubble tea.

  • I strive to co-create a courageous space so you can express yourself freely and feel heard, seen, and cared for by me. We’ll stay mindful of both verbal and non-verbal cues, as well as your emotions, thoughts, and bodily sensations. I approach the therapeutic journey with a both/and perspective instead of either/or (informed by DBT), which allows us to hold space for multiple things at the same time (ex: I’m mad at my parents and also recognize that they did their best).

  • I specialize in treating OCD and alleviating obsessive thoughts. I have successfully supported people in their healing from shame, abuse/neglect, and toxic relationships, including with food and body image.

I have experience working with BIPOC individuals, Muslim people, ace/aro, sexually and gender diverse people, poly/CNM, BDSM/kink, sex workers, and minor-attracted people.

  • Growing up, I felt suffocated and frustrated by the labels that society placed on me as a Muslim and Middle Eastern woman. I was heartbroken when I witnessed similar conflicts among friends in their own communities who chose to conform in an attempt to fit in. I’m closely familiar with feeling like we have to put a mask on, perform, and be something else so that we would be accepted, included, and loved. My personal experiences taught me that healing and inner peace is achieved when we feel connected, and therapy is a unique option for deep connection. My passion is to create a personalized and emotionally intimate space - where you can feel liberated to explore who you truly are without any masks and be loved for your authentic voice and self.

  • $155 for individual therapy and $205 for relationship/family therapy. Limited sliding scale fee slots available.

  • We will have our similarities and also some differences–all of which can be celebrated. As my priority in therapy is to embrace your uniqueness, I’m committed to staying curious and accepting all parts of you because that’s what makes you unique :) Please email me at: engy@heartspace-therapy.com to book a free 15-minute consultation.
