  • I am a Black, trans-nonbinary, asexual, homoromantic therapist. Growing up to a working class single mother in St. Louis, Missouri where white supremacy and trans/queerphobia are rampant, I was discouraged from recognizing blackness and queerness as honorable aspects of self. Later in life, I lived in New Orleans, Louisiana where I developed a more enhanced appreciation of my identities. I then moved to NYC to pursue my education and I’ve been here ever since. I enjoy baking, watching anime, meditating, curating perfumes (aromatherapy anyone?!), and reading (my favorite author is bell hooks!).

  • Our greatest strengths as humans are our capacity to adapt, change, and evolve! In session, I will strive to facilitate your growth by being a warm, open-minded, direct, and interactive collaborator in your journey towards healing. I primarily draw from relational psychoanalysis–which will allow us to understand how you relate to yourself, others, and the world, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)–which encourages us to explore thoughts that might impede your thriving. Both approaches will entail helping you to: (a) accept the limitations of yourself, others, and life; (b) commit to learning from past experiences; and (c) find the courage to try something different.

  • I specialize in supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients with an array of personal and systemic issues including, but not limited to, gender exploration, self-actualization, self-trust, complex trauma, and shame. In therapy, I tend to focus on how clients draw meaning from events, feelings of inadequacy, need for security, fear of abandonment, personal identity development, and their emotional sensitivity towards isolation, death, and oppression.

  • After being rejected by my own parents in late adolescence, I became responsible for my own well-being. Due to the many challenges I then faced, I was able to develop a greater sensitivity, empathy, and compassion towards suffering. It also sparked an overwhelming curiosity to understand people and the complex systems that affect our well-being. Working as a therapist, I strive to employ these sensitivities to promote the growth of others.

  • $155 per session $205 for couples/relationship. Limited sliding scale fee slots are available.

  • I strive to create a space where you would feel seen, heard, and empowered! I appreciate clients who come to therapy with a genuine desire to work together for the purpose of self-exploration and personal growth.
